The Tall Ships Are Coming – 25th May 2024 to 27th May 2024

Please see below a letter to all residents of the Docks Estate, that will shortly be distributed by the organisers.

Saturday 25th May 11.00am until 8.00pm
Sunday 26th May 11.00am until 8.00pm
Monday 27th May 10.00am until 6.00pm

Access

During the open hours the Docks will be restricted to ticket holders. Residents will be issued with wristbands to ensure you are given priority access through the gates. Residents in vehicles accessing car parks within the event site will be escorted by our Security team to ensure we can move your vehicle safely through the pedestrians. Delivery vehicles may not be permitted vehicle access after 10:30am Sat/Sun or 9:30am on Monday. If you are expecting an urgent delivery or have concerns over something being delivered, please contact us. We will do our best to support you and ensure that normal activity is maintained while the event is on. Access for landlords or emergency repairs can be arrange by calling the dedicated event phone number on 07803813278. Please note this number will be live from 10.00am Friday 24th May until 6.00pm until Sunday 27th May. During these times you can also contact us on tships@gmail.com.

Security

We will be working with local company SPA Security who are familiar with the Docks area. They will be across the site from Wednesday 23rd May both day and night. This is in addition to the Dock’s Security team. You will notice that Security will be in place across the access points into the Docks from 9am each event day to support with preparing the site for the event. Security will permit access to anyone who shows the Resident wristband over the event days.

Wristbands

We recommend that you wear your wristband over the event days, but we are aware that this is not convenient for everyone. If you would prefer to have it on your bag, car key keyring or on a lanyard this will be fine, please just attach it to something that you won’t forget to carry around. We will be delivering 2 free wristbands to each apartment in the Docks on w/c 13th May which will ensure easy access to the Docks via a dedicated ‘fast lane’ on the entrances and a residents and business only entrance next to Priday Mills. If you require additional wristbands for others in your property or your visitors, please contact city.events@gloucester.gov.uk.

When we deliver your wristbands to your apartments, we will include an event site plan and a contact phone number which will be in use during the event.
