High Orchard Bridge Update

The Canal & River Trust is progressing works to High Orchard Bridge, which carries St Ann Way over the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal.

Recent inspections have identified repairs are required at the base of the bridge’s masts, and we have mobilised quickly to appoint specialist contractors to carry out the repairs.

The bridge will remain open to traffic and pedestrians, though boats taller than five metres will temporarily be unable to navigate through.

We continue to work very closely with Gloucestershire County Council over these repairs which we intend to complete within the next three weeks.
