Update on Southgate Street Road Closures

We are writing to inform you about the final phase of overnight works on Southgate Street. To allow our teams to safely complete hydro-blasting, final surfacing, and the installation of new road markings, a series of phased road closures will be required.
To minimise disruption, these closures will take place overnight between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00. The road will reopen as normal outside of these times.

The schedule and specific access arrangements are as follows:
Nights of Monday 27th & Tuesday 28th October (20:00 – 06:00)
• Road Closure: The northern section of Southgate Street will be closed.
• Moorings Car Park: The car park will be CLOSED with no vehicle access.
• Docks Access: Access to the Docks will be maintained from the south only, via the left turn at The Tall Ship pub.

Night of Wednesday 29th October (20:00 – 06:00)
• Road Closure: The southern section of Southgate Street will be closed.
• Moorings Car Park: The car park will be OPEN and accessible.
• Docks Access: Access to the Docks and the Moorings Car Park will be maintained from the north only.

Drawings illustrating the extent of the closure and access routes for each phase can be found on below alongside diversion route on page 3. Access for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
We understand that these works will cause disruption, and we apologise for the inconvenience. Thank you for your continued patience and cooperation as we complete this important project.
